"It took a decade to get a name for what I'd been feeling all along."

The Journey

Follow Daisy’s journey to getting a diagnosis for her endometriosis.

My symptoms started to escalate.

Each month my pain was worse than the last, my periods had always been heavy, but things were feeling out of control.

Finally visited the GP.

My GP was kind; she reassured me things were ok and gave me advice on managing my pain.

Things got worse.

It's hard to imagine the pain could get worse, but it did. Each month I'd be incapacitated with pain, sickness and dizziness, it was all consuming.

Finally! An ultrasound scan.

I had my scan, waited a few weeks to hear that the ultrasound scan was inconclusive.

Back to the doc.

I returned, explaining to my doctor how bad things had got, they suggested an ultrasound scan.

I ended up in A&E.

I’d been convincing myself to keep plodding on, despite how bad things got. My partner found me passed out and rushed me to A&E, I was sent home with painkillers, feeling sick and very low.

Follow up with the doc.

Back to my GP again and this time he requested a referral to gynaecology. Such relief that things would be investigated.

Year 5

A very long wait.

The wait for a gynaecology appointment was ridiculous. I had a tough year, and my relationships were showing the strain.

Gynae appointment.

I felt so overwhelmed by the time I got my appointment. They suggested a hormonal coil, I tried it for a long time, while my bleeding reduced, my pain didn’t.

Surgery Scheduled.

Another gynae appointment, another inconclusive ultrasound and an exploratory laparoscopy was scheduled. I really didn’t want to have a surgery, but at the point I had no choice.

Year 1

Surgery done. Diagnosis confirmed.

What a relief! Finally, I had answers, the doctors found endometriosis, they removed as much as they could, but I’ll need another surgery to treat the rest of it. I’m still struggling, but the validation has lifted such a huge weight!

Our Technology

We perform enhanced analysis of ultrasound scans to help identify the subtle signs of endometriosis.

Our software automatically analyses the images taken early in the diagnostic pathway and returns a report to the clinician highlighting signs of endometriosis for clinical review. This offers the potential to dramatically reduce the delay between first presentation to a GP, and diagnosis then treatment planning.

Patients, clinicians and quality data are always at the forefront of our technology. By using carefully curated, high-quality data we’re able to develop machine learning algorithms capable of helping the millions of women searching for answers for their pelvic pain.

No extra burden

We use scans that are already captured. No extra appointments, no extra manpower, no additional hardware on ultrasound machines.

AI-Trained Insight

Trained on retrospectively labelled, surgically validated cases to recognise subtle patterns linked to endometriosis.

Clinician-ready reports

Our software returns a structured report to support diagnosis and treatment planning, offering much more detail on the unique presentation than a yes/no answer.
